Sustainability

Sustainability is defined as ‘meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’.

Our responsibility to sustainability is an essential part of Lab and Field’s operations and customer service. We believe that through behavioural change and a systems thinking approach, our environment can be sustained for the communities of the future.

Lab and Field strives to achieve this by maintaining the highest standards of honest and ethical business behaviour at all times, providing a safe and healthy working environment for staff, visitors and clients, by supporting individual training and development and by adhering to equal opportunity employment practices.

Lab and Field is committed to the implementation of innovative and sustainable business practices through continually assessing the environmental impact of our business operations and implementing processes and programs to reduce that impact.

Responsible Environmental Management

Lab and Field is committed to conducting its operations in an environmentally responsible manner and actively undertakes to effectively identify and manage any potential impacts to the environment.

We participate in extensive recycling programs to significantly reduce land fill and reduce our carbon footprint. All construction material test samples are recycled in an environmentally friendly manner through a recognised integrated resource recovery business with the capability to produce a wide range of quality recycled products.

Waste paper and cardboard materials are recycled through standard recycling programs.

Where appropriate, consumables including sample bags are reused to minimise material being sent to land fill.
